Greg T. Mount
Co-Founder & Partner

Greg Mount joined RLH Corporation as President and Chief Executive Officer in January 2014, with more than 25 years of experience in the industry. Prior to joining RLH, Mount served as President of Richfield Hospitality, Richfield Hospitality China and Sceptre Hospitality, where he executed a number of strategic deals including the acquisition and merger of Whiteboards Labs into Sceptre Hospitality.

Previously, he held senior roles at Sage Hospitality, as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, where he led the full-service division responsible for developing franchises and management contracts for the Westin, Sheraton, Four Points by Sheraton, Le Meridien, and Luxury Collection brands in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean.  Earlier, Mount held senior operating positions at Interstate Hotels Corporation and Marriott International Hotels, working his way up through multiple hotel and regional management positions before moving into development.

Steve Fishman

Steve is a seasoned healthcare executive with over 30 years of industry experience. He co-founded Upward Care and serves as its Chairman and CEO. Prior to Upward, Steve was the Co-Founder, President and Co-Chairman of Formation Capital. During his tenure at Formation, Mr. Fishman invested over $4 billion, comprising of over 55,000 seniors housing beds and healthcare services companies.

As President, Mr. Fishman led Formation’s deal origination and fundraising efforts. Mr. Fishman led the purchase and privatizing of Genesis Healthcare for a deal in excess of $2.1 billion. In April 2011, he led the sale of the real estate assets of Genesis Healthcare to a healthcare REIT for $2.4 billion. Eventually, he also led the Genesis Healthcare merger with Sun Healthcare, both public companies. For over 20 years prior to Formation Capital, Mr. Fishman was a practicing CPA and the principal of a large accounting and advisory firm serving the healthcare and real estate industries. He is also the chairman and founder of Thrive Healthcare – a behavioral health company. Through his many years of experience and vast knowledge of the industry, Mr. Fishman has led the sales and acquisitions of many additional real estate and healthcare assets, including the sale of multiple nursing home platforms to raise $1.4 billion in capital, the purchase and building of a hospice platform worth in excess of $1billion, and the acquisition of all Extendicare U.S. assets, with a net worth of over $800 million. Additionally, Steve deals with international acquisitions as well, leading the acquisition and expansion of the largest home care provider in the United Kingdom, totaling a net worth of £1.1 billion.
Gary Sims
Chief Operating Officer

An industry veteran with over 30+ years of experience in operations and development in a variety of hospitality segments with his most recent role as COO of RLH Corp with 1,000+ franchise properties. Gary has operated several iconic resorts in the US including La Costa Resort and Spa, La Quinta Resort and Spa, Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa and HGV properties in Las Vegas. 

As President/CEO of Nikki Beach Resorts, Gary was responsible for luxury property development and operations in the Caribbean, South America, Europe and Middle East. Gary has operated branded properties under several flags including Westin, Sheraton, Hilton, Marriott, Red Lion and Omni.

David Perel

David Perel is an experienced financial and investment professional in real estate investment and development, private fund management, mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity capital raising, loan negotiations, securities offerings, public and private investor reporting and tax structuring. At Civitas Capital Group, Mr. Perel was the portfolio manager for a discretionary fund formed to acquire select service lodging assets in secondary and tertiary markets.

He also transacted, as a capital provider, the placement of over $200 million of debt and equity capital to hotel and multi-family, office and senior living developers utilizing Civitas’ EB-5 capital platform. Mr. Perel also served as a Principal of Juno Development and as Senior Vice President of Capital Markets of Gatehouse Capital. Mr. Perel had a successful career on Wall Street in corporate finance and investment banking, serving most recently as Managing Director and Co-Head of Healthcare Investment Banking at the U.S. subsidiary of ABN Amro.
Ari Adlerstein
Partner and Investment Committee Member

Mr. Adlerstein joined Meridian in 2011 and currently serves as a Senior Managing Director and co-head of the company’s senior housing and healthcare finance platform. He is responsible for the origination, underwriting, and placement of loans pertaining to senior housing and healthcare properties and is a specialist in this unique and operationally intensive property type.

Mr. Adlerstein has closed approximately $12 billion in financing over the course of his career and works with many of the nation’s leading owners and operators. In addition to the impressive volume of loans Mr. Adlerstein and his team have closed, he has proven himself an expert across a wide variety of financing types, including construction, mezzanine, bridge, balance sheet and asset-backed loans. Mr. Adlerstein also provides a broad array of advisory services to his clients, including equity capital markets and investment sales. He is supported by a team of analysts that he manages.
Prior to joining Meridian, Mr. Adlerstein earned a J.D. from Cardozo Law School and was admitted to the New York Bar.
Caroline Lerner Perel

Caroline Lerner Perel has over 20 years of experience in the lodging industry including strategic planning, asset and revenue management, property development and acquisitions and capital raising. Ms. Lerner Perel was a Managing Director and co-head of the Lodging Group at Civitas Capital Group, a real estate investment advisor with $1.2 billion of assets under management.

She has served in a variety of roles within the lodging industry including as a Principal of Juno Development, Vice President of Development of Gatehouse Capital, Vice President of Development of Headington Realty & Capital and Director of Development of Phillips International. Throughout her career, she has led development of over $1.5 billion of hotels throughout the U.S. and acquisition of over $250 million of acquisitions. Caroline has served on a number of industry ownership committees, including Aimbridge Hospitality, Hilton Garden Inn and Atwell Suites.
Roxanne Rabasco
Chief Marketing Officer

Roxanne Rabasco is a Marketing and Communications executive with over 20 years of experience in a range of industries spanning Hospitality, Sports, Health & Wellness, Technology, Beauty and Fashion/Retail. Roxanne started her career in Marketing with General Growth Properties (GGP), a commercial real estate company and the second-largest shopping mall operator in the US. Roxanne’s passion for brands and love of travel led her to Starwood Hotels & Resorts where she served positions in Event Marketing; planning and executing the Development & Real Estate Group’s presence at the industry’s largest hospitality conferences and Public Relations; responsible for trade media coverage for the company’s nine brand portfolio, including Westin, W, St. Regis and playing an integral role in the launch of aloft and element hotels.

Beyond hospitality, Roxanne led the communications department as well as content, social media and digital strategies for Parlux Fragrances/Perfumania, Frederick Goldman Jewelry (which included the launch of Karl Lagerfeld Jewelry) and for retail technology company, CaaStle, which provides technology, reverse logistics and managed services to help clothing retailers participate in the new rental economy.

Most recently she served as the Vice President of Brand Management & Communications for Red Lion Hotels Corporation before joining Victory Hotel Partners and is now responsible for the brand’s image, marketing efforts and public outreach.

Justin Fishman

Justin joined Victory Hotel Partners as a Director in 2020, with a focus on acquisitions and business development. In addition to Victory, Justin works as a Director with Shelbourne Capital, a boutique private equity firm with a focus on commercial real estate. There he oversees the evaluation of new business development and acquisition of commercial real estate across multiple platforms.

Prior to Shelbourne Capital, Justin was with Barclays (and later Stifel after his division was sold) as a Vice President where he oversaw assets of more than $230MM of institutional and individual equity, fixed income and alternative portfolios including originating greater than $10MM in direct Private Equity Investments.

Prior to joining Barclays, Justin was an Associate in CapitalSource’s commercial real estate-structured finance group where he brings over $150MM in transaction experience across all assets including, but not limited to, hospitality, multifamily, office and retail.

Justin is a US Navy Veteran and an active Naval Officer in the US Navy Reserves. He received his Masters of Business Administration in finance from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of business and a BBA in Finance, with honors, from the George Washington University. Justin lives in Philadelphia, PA with his wife, twin daughters and son. He is an active community service member in Philadelphia, serving as Vice President of the Queen Village Neighbors Association and a founding member of Summer at Courtyard, a recreational summer camp for low-income children from the neighborhood.
